Just starting to rain here a little. Nothing major yet. We are on the far eastern edge of the storm. We are very happy about that, and glad we aren't out on the interstate somewhere.

I feel for all the evacuees, and people in the path of this storm.

Messenger

Well, I have MS messenger on to talk to my grandaughter. This goes against almost everything in me. I feel about it like the telephone, it always is a disruption, but at least it is contact. She is home schooled and uses the computer for her work. I don't want to interfer with that.

Weather

We are getting some serious rain and a little wind from Katrina now. Still feeling really lucky

So far, some rain today, but nothing we don't get pretty much all the time.

Just unloading the car and putting the "portable bird hotel" away. I am so thankful not to be stuck out on interstate 10 right now.

Tomorrow, I will take a route that does not involve the interstate to play bridge.

I am more thankful every minute.

Off to play bridge. We are still getting rain squalls, but we are so lucky to be here with electricity.

Whew, massive traffic jam this morning. Never occured to me that one of the main roads in this area was washed out.

What a mess. Some people that I play bridge with lost power, too. We are so lucky.
