Well not much happening around here. I have a Memorial Service on Saturday and
then a Barbershop Harmony show that evening in Niceville. I play bridge with a couple of barber shoppers. I have never been to one of their shows, so I am looking forward to it.

I am going to the Memorial Service since I really liked the man who died, and I also like his wife, people around here put a lot of stock in that type of thing, so out of respect for her, I am going. I really don't even have any appropriate clothes for that type of thing, but I hope it doesn't matter.

Yesterday I found out that a very old friend of mine died back in February. I looked her up online and came across her obituary. We had lost touch quite a while ago, which I really regret, but life happens. We had quite a history together my single years and even after Roy and I married. We were neighbors, roommates and best friends. I am sad that we did not keep in touch after I left California. I always thought I would see her again, I guess. I am sorry to know that will never happen. She was one of those friends where you just pick up like you were never apart. It makes me sad.

She is the kind of friend who you look at and say, boy, that was fun.

She was a bartender most of her life up until about 2001 I guess. I have such good memories with her.
