loveofgreys: (Rain)
Well, our walk this morning got pretty wet. It is raining and getting ready to turn colder. It was 68 degrees out and raining on our walk. Not the best of conditions IMHO!!

Cleaned bathrooms, and now am washing our bedding and a load of clothes..

Creepy guy is supposed to be coming home from the hospital today. Roy had been going over and walking his dog for a month since he was in the hospital. He got some kind of intestinal infection so he stayed for extra weeks to get it cleared up. More info than I care about.

Tomorrow we are going on our short road trip to Niceville and Rocky Bayou State Park. Saturday is the Greyhound picnic there.

Today I am washing our sheets, dog beds and misc other stuff.

Oh, and we were invited to our neighbors for Thanksgiving. (The ones from New Orleans) I think we just might go. It will be nice to have someone else cook.

When they first moved here we called them the 'Pod People' because they had those big furniture/moving containers called Pods that you rent to move.

They turned out to be some of our best neighbors.

Dinner last night was nice. Nothing special, but the couple is moving and it is always a good thing if you don't have to cook.

Found out our crazy neighbor and his LTA are/were drug addicts. They actually told some other people down the street they were. Who would tell someone they don't know that?

Today I am washing curtains from the old trailer our friends are fixing up and moving into in the next week or two.

They are supposed to be buying it, but it has to go through a divorce first, lol.

Who knows, but they are at the very least renting it and they have to move before she has back surgery.

These are curtains that were in it and they might or might not be able to use. Either way, they are clean now. I also gave them some old curtains I had, but there were not enough for the whole place.

They are coming over tomorrow for dinner too. This is creepy guy and his wife. Roy has been helping him make the trailer livable, no small feat.

Ok, enough good deeds for one day.

Walked the dogs cleaned birds, washing sheets, etc.

Today Roy is going down to our friends to help them measure for a 12' fence across the back of their property and along their driveway which goes along the front of their house.

This will effectively eliminate any view of the lake that they have, and assure our friends that they are not trespassing.

What a moron that guy is.

Oh yea, and [livejournal.com profile] roadskoller I told them to price concertina wire for the top.

The dogs are walked. It is still raining but we are between showers and I see lots of blue sky right now.

We have a new neighbor who Roy already has issues with. I might, too. Looks like he walks his dogs down the road but does not pick up after them.

If that is the case, we will have words.

Now, about Gustav?

Garbage

I called the garbage company, they will write a letter about the garbage.

I also called code enforcement. They will send an officer in a couple of days to check it out. They are in a training meeting. Good thing it is not an emergency.

Uninspired

Well it quit raining long enough to walk the dogs. That is a good thing if it is raining on and off all day. I vacuumed the carpets, and added some fill to a couple of dog beds, but I am just so lazy. I don't want to do much of anything today. Not that I am a ball of fire normally, but I just have no ambition.

Some people (renters) redneck no good pieces of sh-t put their garbage bags out on the road all week long and no garbage can, so the animals get into it and spread it around. We walk through there every day. I left them a note to get a can that it was disgusting, but no response. Now what? I did dig through and get the name and address of who it was. Now I need to know how to proceed. If they can not afford a can, then they need to somehow keep it contained. I wonder who is in charge of this?

Our neighbors that moved to Tennessee, Pigeon Forge, are back. Couldn't make any money there they said so they are back and will go back to driving a truck.

I like them, so I am glad they are back.

Grateful!!

Yesterday, creepy guy's Air conditioner on the place where he rents was broken. I did not find out until late in the day but I told hubby to offer them a place to stay if it did not get fixed. I didn't want to do it, but I couldn't let them die either. Well maybe not die, but you know!! I had no idea what we would do about their little dog and how to keep him away from ours who might try to find his squeaker.

Anyway, I am grateful that the A/C guy came and got theirs fixed.

Now I should invite them for July 4th since they invited us for Memorial Day, but then I would be stuck. I didn't have to go over there until later on Memorial Day.

I am supposed to help our neighbor with a computer his son-in-law gave him. XP I hope.

He used to have a Mac. I don't know what I can do for him, but I will give it a shot. Hubby fixed their electrical problems yesterday.

They always check our mail and check on the birds for us when we are gone, so it works out.

Big storm last night, but beautiful today.

Dinner guest tonight. We don't get much company around here, so it is a big deal.

Anyone out there want to come?
loveofgreys: (never too late)
We are having some new friends over for dinner on Friday night. We have a large Rib Roast we need to eat before we leave on our trip. We want to work the freezers in both fridges down to almost nothing in case of power failures when we are gone.

This couple just moved into the neighborhood. They are renting. They came from the Tampa or Miami area. He is a retired sheriff. They have never been west of Florida!!! I can not imagine.

We live on a small lake. Our lot is one lot up from the lake. The lot below us is an older couple in their mid-eighties.

Ralph is always asking us to go to his Baptist Church with him. Well he used to, he finally gave up I guess. Anyway, they are a nice old couple and give us use of their dock anytime we want and even gave mdh a little old boat they had when we moved here.

Ralph got arrested last night!!!

Apparently some people were in an air boat making all kinds of noise and just generally being obnoxious.

Then they apparently bumped his dock where he was fishing, he asked them to leave and they said something to the effect of: Go F yourself.

Ralph went and got a gun and shot a hole in their boat. Now he is in jail. He apparently is supposed to get out today or tomorrow.

Apparently here in the sticks this is a misdemeanor.

I think this is funny. I know it really isn't, but I can not help myself.

We are actually going to have company for dinner tonight. What a social whirl for us, lol.

The neighbors are back for a day or two (cross country truckers) and are coming over. Should be fun, I think.

More barking dog last night. I contacted sheriff, again! I am very tired of this, and now is the time of year we can leave our windows open. I finally found out that animal control can write a citation on them. Will pursue that angle and see what happens.

Neighbors dog barked and woke us up at 4 AM today. I called the sheriff and now have a number for Code Enforcement. Boy, am I sick of ignorant assholes who won't take care of their pets.

Dog Barking

I have been awake since about 1AM when I called the sheriff on the neighbors dog again. The past two nights he has barked constantly. Last night I know they woke them up, because I watched them.

If I have to be awake, they might as well be awake, too.

What kind of low life piece of scum does not take care of their animal? That dog is just bored and lonely.

Out to breakfast today.

We got a surveillance camera and have it hooked up to a little TV we have with a VHS tape deck attached.

Kind of old school, but want to see if they feed that poor dog. We don't think they did yesterday.
loveofgreys: (Lion Roar)
I took some video of the neighbors dog who is tied out and the infamous sign they put out. Now this is proof that their family tree does not branch:

I am on my porch taking pictures. She comes running out of her house with her camera and takes a picture then runs back in.

Then she calls the sheriff!!!??? I wonder what she said? The deputy came and talked to us and said they were concerned because I was taking pictures?

I wonder what he thought? He was nice, we assured him that it was all about the dog, and he went on his way. It is not against the law to leave your dog staked out in this county as long as you provide a dog house. The neighboring county, we found out, it is against the law.

Poor dog is tied 24/7 and no interaction at all except when they feed him.

This just gets crazier.
