If you never hear from me again, I am attempting to repair my windows. Way over my head I think, but I did backup files I couldn't replace and I can't stand that adware anymore.

And I found two copies of windows. One for the laptop, I am sure. I hope I picked the right one for the desktop.

Well windows hangs up at the logo. Won't load, except in safe mode. Loaded twice, Trying for three. If it doesn't work, then will have to try a clean install. I knew I shouldn't have tried it. Too late now.

We have a connection!! It works. Now whether or not the adware is gone, well we hope so.

I did not do a clean install, did a reinstall.
