Here is the livingroom before with the lace curtains, after with the drapes which can block out the light and the lace curtains in the guest room. I think I like the livingroom with just the drapes. We took the venetian blinds out of the livingroom, too. They are a dark brown with some blue highlights kind of a paisley jaquard drape. The lace curtains look good in the spare room, and they are now clean again.

So that is what we did today.
