Maytag Sucks
May. 9th, 2015 05:02 amFirst, Trader is doing better today. He actually started yesterday before the vets, but nothing miraculous. He is getting old, and we can't cure that. He has something going on with his spine, "something" stenosis. He got a shot, some meds and glucosamine. Hopefully that will help for a while. He seems to not be in pain or stressed, so that is good.
The new Maytag washer and dryer where delivered yesterday, and the washer makes a grinding noise when the center/agitator is running. Something is totally wrong with it, but I did get a load through it. I called Lowes, and they will replace the pair, since that pair were the floor models, and they don't have others like them until next week. I picked out a Samsung pair and they will deliver those tomorrow.
The last time I got a new washer it was a Maytag, and it quit spinning and I ended up buying a GE to replace it within a year, so the dryer and washer did not match. I really did not care, and I don't remember why it could not be replaced. Then I had a 3 year old Maytag fridge that used to freeze up on the dispenser from the door, so I went back to simpler fridges when we moved. Simple ice maker, nothing in the door.
Whirlpool bought out Maytag, but I must have some kind of anti-Maytag curse on me. I should have known not to buy it in the first place.
Lowes is doing the right thing and delivering my new Samsungs tomorrow. I actually got a tiny bit cheaper models. They said they would swap for new ones within reason, and I just happened to pick one a little less, so I will get the money back on my card. I am going kind of old school on these and back to a top loader instead of front loader.
