Tuesday Twins

Tuesday Was a very good day. I had more going on than usual. First I had our book club on the first Monday of the month. Killing Patton was the book which I actually really enjoyed. I was very surprised at myself, because that is not a book I would usually like, but I did like it and learned a lot.

Then I sent flowers and went to see my friend in the rehab center where I had been. (It has not changed which pisses me off, but that is another story) I gave her a little bean bag "Spade" toy that I won at a bridge tournament many years ago. She loved it. I think originally I had about 3 of them. We got them as side gifts for winning a division or something. She looks very good and is really progressing, so that is good news. She will be 91 this year.

Then we met our friends and neighbors for lunch and they surprised me with these two wonderful little statues of greyhounds!! Just a wonderful gift and I love them. I actually have another one just like them given to me by another friend that I am going to donate to the next auction for greys. Roy built the TV stand that they are sitting on to fit the space and our old TV, but this one works perfect on it, too.

Altogether an excellent day. Somedays I just feel very lucky!!
