Only in Texas?

This is the only state where I have seen waffle irons shaped like the state we are in. Cracks me up. We stay at La Quintas because they are all pet friendly, and most do not charge a pet fee. They have pretty nice breakfasts, too. We had a great visit with friends yesterday, and tomorrow we will leave for Livingston, TX to see another old friend. Lousy weather predicted tomorrow. Then head home on Wednesday.

Homeward Bound, Almost

We drive 50+ miles to Livingston, TX tomorrow to see our old friend (91) who used to be our neighbor. The problem is there is a flash flood watch and heavy rains tomorrow. Hopefully the short distance will save us.
