Apr. 3rd, 2008 12:51 pmWe are out of the mountains now. Not like the Rocky Mountains, but still, nice to see some mountains after Florida. It is just a big sand spit.
We are in Deep River Campground which is a Passport America campground so it is half price $11 per night. We will stay two nights and get some more laundry and some shopping done. No cable or wifi, but I have my own wifi. I could have satellite, too, but I am too cheap to get it just for this trip, so will make do with local channels. It is also kind of a junky park, but ok for an overnight. I don't see any train tracks, and we are well off any well traveled roads.
The dogs are traveling pretty well, but I think they would love to see their yard again. We do know of a campground with a fenced dog area on our way home from the ungrateful daughters. So far we are still going to the East Coast and up to Virginia. Will see.
