Finally, I remembered to put in the cut. This is an email to our Florida dog adoption group from one of the groups receiving some of our dogs. It really lets you know how it takes a lot of volunteers to save these retired racers, and the great job they do while truly caring about these wonderful dogs. I am glad I had a small part in this. (I see we still have a lot available for adoption. I have got to quit looking)

Job

When I was hired for this job, it was for part-time and no vacation or holiday pay. I knew that going in, so really had no problem with it. I was glad to find a job in this burg at all, so really could not complain.

My boss gave me a raise within 2 months, and now he is giving the other part-time gal and I paid holidays and vacation time. Pretty generous I would say, especially now when business is tanked.

We didn't even ask for it.
