Our 'foster' Nado, is doing very well so far. He slept in his crate through the night with no whining. Yahoooooo!

He definitely is not shy about food either. He can use a few pounds, so no problem there.

His broken leg seems to be doing pretty well. It is a little sore, but he uses it. He is going to make someone a great pet.

I just looked up Nado's racing record and he won quite a few races before he broke his leg.

I have very strong feelings on racing dogs, but I try to keep them to myself. In order to keep a good relationship with the track people, it is best to be neutral so we have the opportunity to save more dogs. The trainers call the organization if a dog will be destroyed, just like they did for Nado when he broke his leg.

The GPA (Greyhound Pet Association) paid all the medical bills on him.

I am glad to contribute my little bit to this worthy organization. It could have been any dog rescue, I just ended up at this one.
