Looking at some more houses today. I think this is an excellent area to buy in. Really growing. Probably from people leaving Florida. It is also cooler here, at least now. Fall like weather hits here earlier. Still, hot and humid, but we are used to that. We shall see.

Found two houses we like. One is at the top of our price range, but with some fixup, a good investment, but I want a permanent house, not an investment house. We think this whole area is good, but gordon92151 has recommended Anderson which might be a better fit for us because it is much smaller than Greenville area. We are going to make a swing through Anderson tomorrow.

The houses we like are in Greer.

Will sleep on it. It would mean getting a line of equity loan on our present place, until we sell it. If it doesn't sell, we are making house payments we can't afford very well.

Any suggestions on a good place to check for line of equity loans?
