The two eulogies were spot on, given by his son and another Chaplain who has know him for years, and came in from out of state. I knew him from when I worked for Dave.
We have known them both for over 30 years.
We just got home from Fayetteville. It has been a sad time, but I am so glad I was there. I feel my friend needed me there before and after! It really was a good thing to be there with and for her. I hope I can get up there again, and soon. It is also good to be home, now to get caught up with all the laundry!
Even though we were there for a sad reason, we could celebrate knowing him. I will miss him as much as I would miss a close family member, and probably a lot more than some.
Fall is coming and that is a relief around here.
