loveofgreys: (never too late)
Bridge in town today. I put my old computer back to factory specs and it I going to my friends house when we set up a time. I bought a cable that hooks between two computers to transfer files It worked great. I am sure it will come in handy for her computer, too.

I hope I can remember how to set up email. Mine was easy.

Windows 8.1 is so different from Windows 7 and I did not buy a touch screen, but I got an all-in-one and it sure cured the mess of wires I had under my desk. Now I have everything plugged in on top to my UPS battery/surge protector.

This is the new desk top All-in-one from Dell. Mine is not a touch screen, by choice. What it has done is get rid of a ton of wires under and around my desk So much neater.

I also got a wireless keyboard and mouse. Easy to set up, but... Windows 8 (I upgraded it to 8.1) was not easy for me to wrap my tired old brain around, but I am getting there with help from Tech support in India, who so far have been outstanding.
