Foggy Mountain Breakdown
Oct. 11th, 2011 09:19 pmLost power on Interstate 65 south. Took two hours to get a tow truck for the motor home and mechanic to fix it. We are in Decatur AL. Our insurance could not find a Tow service to take their PO, so cash only, but at that point I would have paid anything to get off the interstate. Enter: Buddy (and helper) Got it towed and did not gouge us. Nice trooper came along and helped. Finally, after what seemed like 100 calls I found a mechanic who found the problem (fuel pump) but now the gas tank has to be emptied, dropped, and a new pump inserted, and over 75 gals. It also involves our jacks, It has not been a good day. We are now in a motel (and this tiny town has some things going on, and we almost could not find a room. The dogs have been as good as you can imagine through all this, and stuck in the car, etc. I am pretty sure it won't be until Wed until we get out of here, and we will be so much poorer. Home looks so good.
