Ipods

I am thinking I want an Ipod for Christmas. We never really need anything much for Christmas since we indulge ourselves when we really want something. I want one for TV programs and podcasts mostly. We do not get any radio to speak of here in the boondocks. Anyone know about them? What should I get for that? It looks to me like the regular ipod is what I want. Maybe I want something else? Any input is appreciated.
