New Friends

I am so glad to have a new friend wordsbyallie

It really gives me pleasure to add a new friend to my list.

Today it is raining again. I guess I will go shopping for some Thanksgiving things. I decided not to make pecan pie this year. We don't need the sugar/fat and I don't think our guests like it as much as pumpkin, so pumpkin is all there is for this year. I buy frozen pie, too. It is just as good as what I would make, and lots less trouble. I always make pecan by scratch because the frozen is not as good.

If our friends, for some unknown reason, do not come, we have an invite (including the dog) to some other friends (the ones with the new greyhound

We decided if everyone came with their dogs, and extended family, it would be too much to all get together at one house.

Most of my Thanksgiving shopping is done. Now, our friends had better come. I found a sugar free pecan pie. Wonder how they did that? Same way they make sugar free honey, I guess.

I just made some tomato aspic. Now, I really love the stuff and my mom always made it for the Holidays. MDH probably is not loving it, but more for me.

I put chopped green onion and celery in it. Very low cal and something I actually like. Of course I like mayo on top, but light mayo should be ok.

I also cut an old king sheet in half and made two duvet cover like things for the dog bed so they are easy to wash. Also used a sheet that was just sitting in the closet.

Now I am going to sit in my recliner and read all about my LJ friends. My leg hurts when I sit in a straight chair. It doesn't hurt to walk or sit in the recliner. Wonder what I did to myself.

I hate those damned polititions ads that are dialed to my phone. Who lets them do that? Why isn't the do not call list involved?

Tornado watch until 8PM

Hot again and A/C is on. It is pouring outside. We need the rain. Our man-made lake looks like a bunch of sticks in a puddle. I wonder why they don't remove the trees when making a lake?

Oh, remember my graphics card that would not work with Second Life? My laptop works fine with it. I just wanted to look at it, and it looks like a big waste of time, for me, anyway.

I have now satisfied my curiosity about online games, worlds, etc.
