Pie fiasco

So far today I have made 2 pecan pies, put them in the oven, smelled burnt sugar, took them out before they could set off the smoke alarm, cleaned out a hot oven, as best I could, put them back in and hope for the best.

What a mess I made. I just did this a week or two ago when I made pecan rolls and that got burned on the bottom of the oven.

This is why I don't usually bake anything.

Tomorrow we are leaving for friends. Hope to miss most of the traffic.
