Bridge in town yesterday, due to age, we are getting smaller and smaller groups.

A good friend is having some heartbreaking problems. His wife is dying and in hospice. He is one of 3 families here in hooterville that have a greyhound. At least that is all I know about. Anyway, he has to return her to the group because she bit his 8 year old granddaughter. Who know what she did to provoke it, but either way, he has to return her. I so wish I could take her, but two is our limit. I feel badly for him, and mostly for the dog. She will get a new home eventually, but it will be hard for her now. My first girl, Sandy was a "bounce". She was 7 when I adopted her. She only lived a year after that, but at least it was a happy one. She died of Osteosarcoma. She paved the way for the 3 I have had.

I never knew a grey that bit a person, but I know it happens. No judgment for my friend. I think right now he has no choice but to give her back.

Today I am going to visit a friend who had moved into a retirement facility, then was going to move back, but apparently got the flu and is now in a rehab place here until she is strong enough to live on her own. She will be 91 this year. I stayed in that facility when I was sick. I am glad I am not there now!
